The role…
GlobalData Plc provides business information in the form of high-quality data, analytics, and insights to clients across a breadth of industry markets. Our central finance support function is based in Hull and we currently have a vacancy within the Management Accounts team. Now is an incredibly exciting time to join and be part of a business that is fast-paced, vibrant and ambitious, with opportunities for everyone to develop and succeed.
Key responsibilities:
1. Produce monthly management accounts and reforecast including commentary against prior forecast / budget to aid decision making.
2. Communicate financial results and insights to non-financial stakeholders.
3. Prepare detailed cost analysis to aid forecasting discussions with Sales and Operations Management.
4. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies on a timely basis.
5. Contribute to the annual budgeting process.
6. Support year-end activities including liaising with external auditors.
7. Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives including the development and implementation of internal control procedures.
8. Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support project work.
9. Post foreign TBs provided by external overseas accounting firms ensuring local ledgers align to those held in SUN.
Role requirements:
1. ACA or equivalent qualification.
2. Shows dedication and accountability.
3. Can set and meet deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail and effectively managing expectations.
4. Strong analytical skills.
5. Demonstrate the ability to communicate well and build strong and collaborative relationships.
6. Confident, adaptable personality with a positive attitude towards change and new challenges.
7. Strong excel skills and confidence with data manipulation, has previously worked with large, complex data sets.
