WORKSHOP MANAGER
Salary - £45,000pa
Working Hours - 45 Hours per week

Our client is seeking an experienced Workshop Controller, Workshop Manager, or Workshop Foreman with a background as an HGV Technician in the Reading area.
Responsibilities of a Workshop Manager
1. Supervising and motivating our team of HGV Technicians and pro-actively reviewing daily workload to seek opportunities that will help drive performance.
2. Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction by implementing quality checks, resolving any issues, and re-assuring customers by providing all necessary information and advice.
3. Supervising the daily timekeeping of technicians and managing authorised absence to ensure a consistent level of attendance.
4. Maintaining relationships with vehicle manufacturers and providing technical information for Technicians during repair operations.
5. Complying with Health & Safety regulations and ensuring high standards of housekeeping and security are achieved and maintained within the workshop and surrounding areas.
Skills and Qualifications of a Workshop Manager
1. Prior experience in a similar role.
2. HGV Technician experience.
3. Ability to work calmly under pressure and manage a workshop.
4. Well-developed management and leadership skills.
5. A working knowledge of automotive technology, warranty systems, and the brand would be beneficial.
6. Class 1 licence would be advantageous.
