Amerge is looking for a Category Lead to join our amazing, fast-growing Biz Dev team based in the UK. As part of your role, you will be responsible for building relationships with brands while tailoring our agency offering together with internal stakeholders to their industry needs. You will be the expert in the team when it comes to helping brands build their blueprint to succeed with Amazon and its different services. As an advanced partner agency of Amazon and 4-times partner award winner, Amerge will provide you with the right platform to fulfill your mission. We have a strong team dynamic and are proud of our culture. Our office is based in Shoreditch (including gym access) which includes our founding team and offers flexible WFH options (however recommended Tuesday – Thursday).
The candidate will be expected to fully understand our four key pillars and consult with current and existing clients (see below for more details): Selling Partner Services, Creative Services, Amazon Ads, and Amerge Tech.
* Building and management of long-term partnerships with brands based in the EU but selling globally.
* Drive UK & EU market growth by identifying new business opportunities, product innovations, and customer trends.
* Managing larger tier, strategic, and global accounts with the aim to cross-sell and scale each client, whilst also working on new business leads in a designated book of business.
* Pitching business to new and existing clients (in person and online) across the four pillars of Amerge: Selling Partner Services (Vendor & Seller), Creative Services, Amazon Ads, and Amerge Tech (Amerge View, Amerge Engine, and Amazon Marketing Cloud).
* Maintain a strong relationship with clients and Amazon reps through video call meetings and email communication.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Account Management, Analytics, Selling Partner, and Creative services to drive category performance.
* Attending shows and conferences to boost the Amerge brand and build relationships with potential clients.
* Opportunity to work on innovative and specialized projects to develop personally whilst supporting Amerge.
* 5+ years of experience working directly with clients or account management.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively convey information to clients.
* 2+ years of experience working across Amazon Ads/Retail or similar Digital E-commerce experience.
* 2+ years of sales experience working towards a quota/target.
* Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities, with a results-oriented mindset.
* Self-motivated and goal-driven, with a willingness to take initiative and work independently.
* Proficient in using standard office software (e.g. MS Office, CRM software).
* English business fluent.
