Position: Complex Need Advocate
Location: County-wide (travel required)
Salary: £20.98 (including holiday)
Contract Type: 3 Months, Full-time
This role will be based in a dedicated service committed to improving the quality of life for residents and their families. Our focus is on supporting young people with complex needs, including substance misuse, offending, and mental ill-health. They work closely with partner agencies to provide comprehensive support and guidance.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Support Young People: Work with young individuals facing complex challenges such as substance misuse, offending, and mental ill-health.
2. Partnership Collaboration: Collaborate with various partner agencies to enhance the quality of life for residents and their families.
3. Case Management: Provide practical and emotional support, applying effective casework principles to support clients.
4. Signposting: Direct clients to appropriate partner agencies for additional support and guidance.
Essential Requirements:
1. Experience: Proven experience working with young people with complex needs, including substance misuse, offending, and mental ill-health.
2. Education: Educated to a good standard with qualifications such as HND/HNC in Housing, Social Work, Addiction, or ASB, or equivalent practical knowledge and experience.
3. Local Knowledge: Familiarity with local partners and agencies to enhance the wellbeing of residents and service users.
4. Support Skills: Ability to provide both practical and emotional support, utilising effective casework principles.
5. Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle, as travel across the county is required.
