Their team is dedicated to delivering tailored financial solutions to a diverse client base, ranging from high-net-worth individuals to corporates. We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Liquidity and Market Risk Analyst to join their risk management division, providing critical insights that drive our decision-making processes.
Role Overview:
The Liquidity and Market Risk Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, assessing, and reporting on liquidity and market risk exposures across various portfolios. You will play a key role in shaping our client's risk strategies by providing data-driven insights to optimize risk-return profiles and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and report on daily liquidity positions, stress tests, and forecasts
* Assess market risk exposures, including interest rate, currency, and equity risks
* Develop and maintain risk models to assess potential risk scenarios and the impact on the bank’s balance sheet
* Collaborate with front office, finance, and compliance teams to ensure alignment with risk policies and regulatory standards
* Conduct detailed risk analysis on new investment products and advise on risk mitigation strategies
* Prepare and present risk reports to senior management and the board
* Ensure compliance with Basel III, IFRS 9, and other relevant regulatory frameworks
Key Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
* 2-3 years of experience in a liquidity or market risk role, preferably within investment banking
* Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and risk management frameworks
* Proficiency in risk management tools (e.g., VaR, stress testing) and software (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters)
* Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as Basel III and liquidity coverage ratios (LCR)
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with advanced Excel skills (knowledge of Python or R is a plus)
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders
