Job Description:
e-Track, a market leader in intelligent key management systems, seeks a highly motivated Field Engineer to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working hands-on, solving problems, and delivering outstanding customer service.
As a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing our advanced key management systems at customer sites across the UK & Europe. When not in the field, you’ll play a crucial role in our production team, building and preparing systems to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation, Repairs, and Maintenance:
•Install e-Track’s intelligent key management systems on customer premises.
•Diagnose and repair faults to ensure systems operate efficiently and minimise downtime.
•Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
Production and System Preparation:
•Build, configure, and prepare systems in the production facility when not on installations or fault calls.
Health & Safety Compliance:
•Follow all industry and site-specific Health & Safety regulations.
•Safely use PPE, power tools, and isolate external power sources during installations and repairs.
Customer Engagement:
•Represent e-Track professionally, ensuring clear communication and a positive customer experience.
•Provide training to customers on how to use their systems efficiently.
•Identify opportunities to up-sell additional software or hardware benefits to enhance customer systems.
Software Updates and Fault Finding:
•Install and configure software updates to keep systems secure and up-to-date.
•Troubleshoot both hardware and software issues with a problem-solving mindset.
What We’re Looking For:
•A technically savvy individual with hands-on experience in installations, fault finding, and repairs (preferably in an engineering or technical role).
•Confidence in using power tools and interpreting technical diagrams.
•Basic knowledge of software updates, networking, and system configuration.
•Strong attention to detail and a commitment to Health & Safety standards.
•Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
•Flexibility to travel across the UK for on-site work.
