We are looking for a highly motivated and innovative teacher to join our dedicated Humanities department from April 2025/September 2025.
The successful candidate will be able to deliver high quality lessons in Geography across all Key Stages. The ability to teach History to GCSE and/or Religious Studies to KS3 would be desirable.
The Humanities department is well established at Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys and continues to be popular across each year group. Enabling students into Higher Education with confidence is a strength. We have enjoyed excellent results at both GCSE and A-level and Key Stage 3. A healthy approach to broader, innovative ways to enhance learning is encouraged, and trips and out of class enrichment activities add to this. Staff have a wealth of experiences and interests, which bring many dimensions to the provision of excellent lessons as well as skills and support for a new colleague!
You will be able to demonstrate experience of achieving positive outcomes for pupils, as well as being passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people. As a committed team player, you will have excellent organisational skills and the natural ability to motivate both pupils and peers. We welcome applications from creative and dynamic teachers who can contribute to this vision. Although the ideal candidate will have a proven track record of excellent teaching and learning, we also welcome applications from ECTs.
