We’re looking for an R&D Process Safety Manager based at our Capenhurst site. You’ll play an important role within the R&D function, leading and supporting the design of new high hazard technology, ensuring delivery of a practical safe design and a logical safety case is a complex task.

5. Develop Urenco R&D's approach to Process Safety and Licensing to ensure regulatory compliance
6. Support the Project Delivery team to define and implement design and engineering initiatives that align with the development stage of R&D projects and ultimately support the efficient transfer of projects to the Group Projects
7. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations eg. Nuclear site licence conditions, COMAH
8. Improve delivery of safe designs, ensuring the full range of operating modes are considered, safety case documents are easy to maintain, and the basis of safety is clear

1. Knowledge of engineering standards eg. Safety Assessment Handbook, EPSHEG8, IEC61508 and IEC61511 (or equivalents in the relevant jurisdiction)
2. Team development and continuous improvement
3. Chartered Engineer with wide-ranging experience
