Senior Duty Manager - Full Time - GL1 Leisure Centre

Our Centre Management Team helps to provide the services and activities that have a hugely positive impact in our local communities. To achieve this, we are recruiting a Senior Duty Manager on a full-time basis to work at our Centre.
As an integral part of the site team, your work will support the delivery of a huge variety of services and ensure our customers receive an excellent experience at our centre. Full training will be given; all you need is the right attitude and a drive to positively impact our communities.
The role will be busy and varied; no two days will be the same. You will have a good level of autonomy and we'll be interested in your ideas and suggestions. You will be involved in managing a motivated staff team, organizing events and activities, helping customers, making plans for the centre, and contributing to genuinely improving people's lives through leisure.
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Sunday (Rota basis)
Requirements:
* To ensure the smooth delivery of service within the pool operations team
* To effectively monitor and manage the contract's energy-saving processes and develop further when possible to reduce costs without impacting on service delivery
* To actively support team members in work relating to mechanical, electrical or general maintenance in a hands-on approach to further assist the day-to-day management of maintenance issues as they arise
* To ensure Health & Safety procedures and codes of practice are in place and adhered to across the contract
* Management of building services team, lifeguards, and cleaners/housekeepers
* To be an effective and proactive member of the senior management team and act as the Duty Manager on shift when required
* You must have the nationally recognized NPLQ Qualification
* Management of line management team members including staff rotas and managing personal development plans
* To undertake performance reviews for all team members on an annual basis ensuring feedback on performance is given monthly in line with the policy and procedures
* Communicate effectively with your team on a timely basis ensuring robust systems exist so that staff feel informed and involved
* To have responsibility for risk management and health and safety in the workplace
