We have a unique opportunity for a Static Equipment Engineer to join one of our teams working on a net zero project. This specific position will be based in Paris. The project is executed in English so French is not a prerequisite for the role.
You will be required to help support delivery of engineering excellence in the assigned project through executing and delivering the engineering for an assigned project scope to schedule and in accordance with applicable procedures, specifications and standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide technical expertise, knowledge and guidance to all items pertaining to Static Equipment, specifically compressors and pump equipment in CO2 / CCS applications.
2. Support the planning, scheduling, and execution of discipline activities and deliverables, including manhour estimating and schedule preparation to support bid/tendering as required.
3. Create, specify, and maintain data sheets for Static Equipment such that the items can be purchased.
4. Compile RFQs with specifications, scopes, and data sheets.
5. Visit suppliers' premises to attend kick-off/alignment meetings, the testing of equipment, and clarification meetings.
6. Coordinate with other disciplines during all stages of design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up to ensure there is no conflict within the overall engineering design.
7. Ensure Static design deliverables conform to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as the Client's policies and procedures.
8. Provide input to the preparation of Technical Work Practices (TWP's) and Standards.
9. Attend weekly internal and external progress meetings and generate status reports for the Engineering/Project Manager.
10. Define scope of work for 3rd Party subcontracts as required.
11. Prepare Tender Bid Evaluations and assess bids.
12. Provide input to EPC scope of work and EPC Tender Static for EXECUTE stage.
13. Ensure compliance with management of change processes both technical and financial.
14. Provide direction and guidance on technical queries relating to mechanical engineering and raise appropriate EQ's/deviations.
15. Participate in all project safety and design reviews as necessary.
16. Take ownership for Risk Identification, Assessment, Mitigation, Monitoring, and Close Out for your respective discipline.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
2. Significant years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
3. A specialist and detailed knowledge of the major mechanical equipment types.
4. Thorough knowledge of relevant international codes and standards.
