About You
We are looking to expand our London and South East Sales Team and recruit a dedicated results driven Sales Consultant for our developments in Borehamwood and Knebworth. Whilst having housebuilder or estate agency experience is advantageous, due to our in-depth training programme, this role could be suited to anyone from a customer-facing background; in industries such as hospitality, travel, or retail.
You will have proven experience in a customer-centric and target-driven environment, consistently delivering a positive customer experience at every stage of the journey. We are seeking someone who is empathetic, reliable, tenacious, and ambitious to enable us to build vibrant retirement living communities.
What the Sales Consultant role involves
At McCarthy Stone we place our customers at the very heart of our culture and core values, as our Sales Consultant you will bring enthusiasm and excellent interpersonal skills to deliver the sales which encompasses lead generation and qualification; developing interest and commitment; negotiating pricing, closing sales; whilst ensuring that the customers remain informed, engaged, and committed through to sales completion.
To be a Sales Consultant at McCarthy Stone, you will need to be an entrepreneurial self-starter who is able to use initiative. Our Sales Consultants often work independently, in charge of managing their own development; taking ownership of their database; organising events and having an input in marketing strategies.

What do we look for in a Sales Consultant
We understand the importance of our people and invest in training and development ensuring that you are provided with the guidance and support you need to truly realise your potential.
You will have:
12. Previous customer-focussed sales experience is a pre-requisite, gained within a similar environment, whether that is within housebuilding, hospitality, or care.
13. Previous experience of outbound calling, coupled with proven conversation rate of visit to reservation would be advantageous.
14. A valid UK Drivers Licence: in the event you are required to visit customers away from the site.
