The role:
This role is suitable for a Media Lawyer who is looking to play an integral part in an exciting start-up in the Sustainable Sports sector.
As Legal Counsel, you will provide commercially focused legal advice across a wide range of areas. You will play a key role in drafting and negotiating various commercial agreements, including sports media rights agreements (both buy and sell side), sponsorship agreements, licensing agreements, commission agreements, digital services framework agreements, hospitality contracts, and more.
You will join a team of three, working under the General Counsel, who has extensive experience in the Sports industry. Additionally, you will handle various commercial tasks related to IP, Operations, and support the Sustainability team.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in commercial/media law, experience working with global broadcasters and content distributors, and familiarity with the legal and regulatory issues related to sports broadcast and media rights, as well as sports production matters.
The ideal candidate:
1. Media/Commercial Solicitor with 3+PQE and In-House experience
2. Excellent drafting skills and knowledge of the Media sector
3. Experience in Sports is advantageous
4. Prior experience in both the licensing of live sports media rights and music licensing
5. Understanding of the sports broadcast, content licensing, music and related regulatory landscape
