Job Summary
Come and join us as a Production Operative for Building Product Design at our site in Merthyr Tydfil!
Building Product Design are a subsidiary of Wienerberger. We design and manufacture a range of specialist products used widely in the building industry. We have a reputation for quality and innovation in the industry.
As a Production Operative you will be trained to use machinery and to perform tasks which helps us to manufacture our products.
It's a hands-on role, where you will be working independently, gaining expertise on the machinery, supporting each other, and producing quality results.
Duties also include:
* Carry out various machinery operations
* Help to achieve production, waste, and quality targets
* Work safely at all times
* Spraying
* Actively take part in any required training
You will be given full training and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to make sure you can work safely and effectively.
Hours of Work: Alternating shifts, days and afters
Days: 6am to 2pm Monday to Thursday & 6am to 11.30am Friday, then, Afters: 2pm to 11.30pm Monday to Wednesday & 2pm to 11pm Thursday all 37 ½ hours each week.
About You
You’ll enjoy working in a busy environment where you can roll your sleeves up and get hands-on.
You’ll be flexible and able to adapt to the different daily priorities in the factory which help us run efficiently.
Safety is our biggest priority, so you’ll be committed to safe working and have good general safety awareness.
You’ll be fit enough to perform your duties, which are varied, and sometimes physically demanding.
You’ll also have:
* Good literacy - as there is some paperwork involved
* Good team working skills
* Ability to work unsupervised
Experience in a factory/manufacturing environment, fork lift truck experience and/or printing experience is desirable, but not essential, as full training is provided.
