We require someone experienced, enthusiastic and conscientious to contribute to the collection and management of geospatial survey data to support the BAS Antarctic Infrastructure Modernisation Programme (AIMP) and the BAS estate. Central to your role will be working to establish a unified approach to the collection and management of survey data, while ensuring data that is fit for purpose and in line with standards. You will work closely with the AIMP team, our technical advisors and external contractors. For the role of Geomatics Surveyor, we are looking for somebody who has: Able to attend a medical and demonstrate 'medically fit' to work in Antarctic conditions A degree or higher qualification in Surveying, GIS, Geography or a relevant subject, with evidence of having developed survey skills to a high level. Experience with land survey practices. Experience with project management. Experience working successfully within a small team, while also able to operate independently.
