Job Description
Are you an organised and proactive team player, with a passion for creating efficient and well managed work environments? We are looking for an Office & Facilities Manager to join our team to manage the day to day running of our office and manufacturing facilities across two sites.
The Role
The Office & Facilities Manager is a varied role with responsibility for overseeing our office operations, managing our facilities, supporting our finance processes and re-enforcing a strong health and safety culture to ensure a positive workplace environment. You will enjoy working with a variety of people as this role works closely with our internal teams and external contractors, taking ownership of administrative tasks, managing varying facilities maintenance tasks and ensuring everything runs to schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facilities Management – Manage the maintenance of our facilities based over two sites at Harwell and Abingdon, including budgetary responsibility.
2. Office Management – Oversee daily office actions, including answering phones, greeting visitors, managing security passes & alarm codes and providing general administrative support to the teams.
3. Finance – Raise purchase orders for facilities and office expenses and support our Chief Finance Officer with managing the accounts inbox, purchase ledger, inputting invoices to Lightyear and resolving queries with suppliers.
4. Health & Safety – Complete all Health and Safety inductions with employees and contractors, manage training and ensure we are compliant with facility requirements.
About you
You are likely to have previous office and/or facilities experience, have a keen interest in health and safety and have good numeracy skills. You will be an excellent communicator and team player comfortable planning, organising and prioritising varied tasks with a logical approach to problem solving. You should also have good MS office skills and a valid UK driving licence as this role will be based onsite primarily at our Harwell facility but will be required to travel between there and our Abingdon facility.
