Vehicle Trailer/Towbar Branch Manager in Derby
Starting salary up to £35,000 per annum with £3,000 annual bonus potential and overtime at standard rate.
Monday to Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm (37.5 hour weeks).
Opportunity to work with one of the leading manufacturers, retailers and resellers of trailer and towing products in the UK. Our client, the UK's leading nationwide vehicle trailer/towbar specialist, is currently looking to recruit a Branch Manager for their branch in Derby.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Overall responsibility for the daily operation/motivation of a branch and team, ensuring an excellent level of customer service is achieved by all members of staff at all times.
2. Responsible for maximizing branch internal/external sales and margin ensuring targets are achieved whilst adhering to policies/procedures.
3. Actively visit businesses to ensure retention of existing custom and to acquire new customers.
4. Actively sell and promote trailers, parts, associated equipment, and services.
5. Gain market penetration of the brand, acquiring new customers and retaining existing customers.
6. Control the branch stock of parts and finished trailers, ensuring systems are in place and followed regarding maintaining stock inventory.
7. Ensure the branch is kept clean, tidy, and well-presented, including a comprehensive range of parts, trailers, and promotional materials.
8. Maintain a customer record system detailing sales, leads/enquiries, follow-ups, and general prospects.
9. Carry out recruitment in line with Recruitment Policy and Procedure, person specification, and budget.
10. Manage and control time-keeping, attendance, and holiday authorisation within the branch.
11. Accurately carry out and control stocktaking as determined by the company.
12. Be trained and operate a Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck where necessary within the branch.
13. Hold a full, clean, current driving licence.
14. Perform any other duties deemed reasonable on request.
Minimum Requirements:
To be eligible, you must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Derby and have a UK driving licence with minimal points. Experience working in a supervisory/management role within the automotive industry is highly advantageous; however, our client is willing to consider candidates with no experience in the motor trade but a strong track record in retail/branch management.
Overall, you will have strong customer service skills, be a team player, and have a methodical and organised approach to your workload with a focus on driving additional revenue through our client's business and maximising output from your team. Mechanical experience or experience of fitting trailers/towbars would also be advantageous, however, it is non-essential. It is also advantageous if you have a Fork Lift Truck licence or would be willing to undertake training to attain one.
