New Opening: Quantity Surveyor- Degree Apprenticeship
We are excited to open applications for a Degree Apprenticeship Quantity Surveyor, designed to nurture the next generation of talent. This role offers a unique blend of on-the-job training and academic learning, providing an excellent foundation for a successful career within the construction industry. Based in our state-of-the-art facilities, this is a golden opportunity for individuals passionate about engineering, innovation, and sustainability.
What will I do?
Whilst on site you'll be given a tailored training plan to work through, supported by both your allocated Mentor and your Manager. On a day-to-day basis you'll be given greater exposure to your division and the roles of your team members.
Apprenticeship Overview:
1. Engage in a comprehensive training program undertaking a Level 4 in Quantity Surveying and progressing onto a Level 6 degree in Construction Quantity Surveying.
2. Work alongside experienced professionals to gain practical skills around construction and business operations.
3. Support managers in controlling and monitoring costs on construction projects.
4. Learn about and contribute to our sustainability initiatives, focusing on reducing carbon emissions and enhancing efficiency.
Typical Placement can include:
1. Assisting the team with the budgeting of construction projects.
2. Control of costs during construction projects, specifically highways.
3. Selection and management of specialist contractors.
4. Contributing to the mitigation of disputes using accurate records.
5. Recording, controlling and reporting of income and expenditure on a construction project.
6. Valuation of progress on construction projects.
7. Assisting senior managers with the legal and contractual issues on a construction project.

What you’ll need:
Our minimum entry requirements are:
1. Essential - 5 GCSEs Grade A*-C or 4-9, including Mathematics, English Language.
2. Essential - Minimum of 104 UCAS points in further education.
3. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Aggregate Industries does not offer visa sponsorship for apprenticeship roles.
