Weare looking for a motivated and committed GP to join our team in the scenicColne Valley, in the heart of the Pennines near the busy town of Huddersfield. It is easily accessible to both Leeds andManchester.
You willbe joining a friendly and experienced team of 3 Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, 1 GPRetainer and an Advanced Clinical Practitioner plus excellent Nursing staff anda Pharmacist. We also have a number of ARRS roles providing MSK and MentalHealth appointments, an additional Pharmacist and Pharmacy technician and aGPA. Our shared aim is to provide innovative, safe and holistic care for our 10,000 patients.
We are keen to develop new ways of working to streamline our workflow and we ensure responsibilities are shared out equitably.
Main duties of the job
Newly qualified or experienced GPs welcome to join our team.
We area training practice hosting a GP Registrar and FY2 Doctors. We are a supportive team with a dailyclinician meeting and systems in place to share the administrative workload. Wehave good working relationships with the wider Community Healthcare Team andCVGP is actively involved in the local Valleys PCN.
Thesuccessful applicant must be willing to help in the support of our trainees andparticipate in our extended hours commitment.

Job responsibilities
1. Provide General Medical Services to acceptable clinical standards to patients, both in surgery and on home visits.
2. Respond to medical problems presented by patients on the medical list, including history taking, examination, diagnosis, investigation, treatment, referral where appropriate and adequate documentation with READ coding onto the GP Computer system.
3. Prioritise, organise and manage own workload in a manner that maintains and promotes quality, including clearing clinical tasks on a daily basis, filing pathology results in a timely manner and re-setting recalls appropriately
4. Provide appropriate health promotion and preventative health care and advice to the Practice patients attending the centre within the context of primary health care.
5. Attend all team meetings and other meetings as may be necessary for GMS duties.
6. Carry out clinically related administrative and non-clinical duties needed for the delivery of general medical services.
7. Provide free certification in line with Schedule 9 of NHS GMS Regulations (1992).
8. Provide emergency cover for absent colleagues from time to time as detailed.
9. Undertake on-call duties for clinically urgent and emergency problems and consequently be included in the doctors on-call and extended access rota.
10. Maintain patient clinical records in line with the electronic patient record system.
11. Assess effectiveness of care delivery through self and peer review, benchmarking and formal evaluation including appraisal/revalidation process

12. General Practice experience.

15. Maintain effective communication with those responsible for the overall commissioning and procurement process.
16. Maintain active involvement in the planning and processes of practice-based commissioning or similar initiatives.
17. Prioritise own workload and ensure effective time-management strategies.

18. Manage and lead on the delivery of specifically identified services or projects.
19. Interest in Minor Surgery or Women's Health.
20. Discuss, highlight and work with the team to create opportunities to improve patient care.
