We are now expanding our offering with a new service that provides expert Later Life Planning, including Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs) and Wills. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of something new and impactful that will support older people in planning for their future. Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Lasting Power of Attorney & Will Writer to join our team and help develop and deliver our new Later Life Planning service. You will work closely with clients, ensuring their wishes are clearly reflected in their legal documents and providing expert advice to help them make informed decisions. Your attention to detail and passion for helping others will be crucial in delivering high-quality services that meet both the legal requirements and the personal needs of our clients. The role will require the completion of the relevant training courses and examinations. Key Responsibilities: Advise clients on Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA) and Wills, ensuring their wishes are accurately captured and legally compliant. Draft and review LPA and Will documents, ensuring all legal formalities are met. Provide compassionate support, helping clients understand the legal processes and options available to them. Always maintain a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality. Regularly meet with clients in the City of Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland to provide face-to-face support. Maintain accurate client records and ensure the efficient management of all cases. Assist in the growth and development of the new service, offering feedback and ideas for improvement. Stay updated on relevant legal regulations and best practices related to LPAs and Wills. Qualifications & Experience: Qualifications or proven experience of working within a legal profession. Experience in writing Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney is highly desirable. Experience of working in a regulated field of work requiring a high degree of competence and compliance. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to ensure compliance with legal requirements. Compassionate and empathetic, with a genuine desire to help older people plan for their future. Highly organised and able to manage multiple clients and cases efficiently. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex legal information clearly. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel across the region. Additional Requirements: The successful candidate must complete relevant training courses and examinations as part of their ongoing professional development.
