Overview of the role
Sitting between the scenic delights of the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors, Northallerton is a natural destination for visitors keen to explore all glorious North Yorkshire has to offer.
Northallerton has been a major commercial and administrative centre since Saxon times. It developed into a thriving market town on the old Great North Road and later became an important halfway stop for stagecoaches travelling between London and Edinburgh.
It retains its importance as the county town of North Yorkshire, England’s biggest county, and is blessed with excellent main-line rail connections to London and Scotland and is within easy access to the A1 and A19.
The pharmacy is adjoining one of the doctor’s surgeries within Northallerton. The store currently provides all pharmacy services and dispenses around approx. 1,900 items per week across both patient pack dispensing and MDS trays. The store has a full team made up of a full time Team Leader and another full time colleague and one part time colleague. This is a great opportunity for a pharmacist to focus on the clinical side of the business, where the Team Leader focuses on the Operational task, together you will work hand in hand, ensuring that the pharmacy is well ran and delivers all business KPI’s.
The pharmacy trades Monday to Friday 08:45 – 18:30 and Saturday 09:00 through to 12:30. This is a 31 hour vacancy, however we are flexible in our approach to maintain a good work/ life balance that suits you. This role will be shared with a Pharmacist Area Operations Manager, who will work in branch two days per week. They will be a great support to you, to ensure that all KPI’s are met whilst they are out supporting other stores on the area.
Therefore this can be discussed further, please speak to us about this!
Come join and be part of this amazing team!
