Are you a reliable, hardworking and experienced retail professional? City St George’s Students’ Union is seeking a Deputy Shop Manager to be a member of our Retail Team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Commercial Manager (Retail) to oversee the retail operations of CSGSU Trading Limited (the Company), a subsidiary of the Union. This role focuses on managing, developing, and delivering a retail outlet at the Tooting campus, an online store, and retail services at various events or locations as needed. Ensuring a high-quality service that meets the needs of students and customers, while continuously enhancing financial performance, is paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Commercial Manager in overseeing retail operations.
* Manage, develop, and deliver services at the retail outlet and online store.
* Ensure high-quality service for students and customers.
* Enhance financial performance continuously.

* Proven experience working in retail or in a similar customer-facing role, in a demanding environment.
* Ability to work as part of a team with the capacity to lead, inspire and motivate others.

* Excellent attention to detail, including in counting and handling cash.
* Customer-focused with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
