About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our team in Cambridge, where you will be responsible for providing a wide range of nursing care to animals. As part of our dedicated veterinary team, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of species, from cats and dogs to horses and livestock.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting veterinary surgeons with surgeries and treatments, including procedures such as spay/neuter operations and orthopedic surgery.
* Providing high-quality nursing care to hospitalized animals, which may include monitoring their condition, administering medications, and performing routine checks.
* Preparing and administering medications, as prescribed by the veterinary surgeon, to ensure accurate dosing and minimize risk of error.
* Educating pet owners on animal care and welfare, including advice on nutrition, behavior, and parasite control.
* Maintaining the veterinary clinic, ensuring a clean and safe environment for both staff and animals.
Requirements
* A recognized qualification in veterinary nursing, such as an RCVS-registered diploma or degree.
* Registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), demonstrating your commitment to professional development and excellence in veterinary nursing.
* Experience working as a veterinary nurse, ideally in a busy practice setting, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional patient care.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to effectively engage with colleagues, clients, and animals.
