Job Advert: Project Engineer Location: Broughton, North Wales Department: Manufacturing Engineering (ME) About the Role: We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our client's Manufacturing Engineering team in Broughton. The team is dedicated to enabling manufacturing operations by working closely with shop-floor teams to ensure minimal disruption while providing innovative, value-adding, and robust solutions. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering projects aimed at enhancing and improving production processes while meeting safety, cost and quality requirements. Key Responsibilities: As a Project Engineer you will support the business by carrying out process mapping and requirement definition. You will ensure the analysis, design, development, integration, functional and technical acceptance, and deployment of projects. Your responsibilities will include ensuring activities are completed in line with agreed budgets, schedules, and resources. You will work with stakeholders to define "AS IS" and "TO BE" solutions and provide project financial management, including cost-benefit analysis, planning, estimating, budgeting, funding, managing project expenses, and billing. Additionally, you will create all required project documentation according to the agreed governance model, ensure dependencies and risks are clearly identified, reported, and managed, and identify and manage all risks related to delivering the project on time, within budget, and to quality standards, including interdependencies with other projects or services. Skills and Competencies: To be successful in this role you will need strong project management experience with an engineering background. A project management accreditation would be an advantage, as well as experience working in a production environment. You should have strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build customer relationships. The ability to analyze and simplify complex topics and make them understandable to stakeholders is essential. Familiarity with tools such as Click n Buy, FMEA, SWOT analysis, 5 whys, Fishbone Analysis, and Flowcharts would be beneficial. Experience in generating technical specifications based on operational requirements is also desirable. Why Join Us?
