LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT College location: Lewes Annual salary: Circa £15,994 per annum (FTE salary £23,724 per annum). Hours: 31 hours per week, term-time only, 36 weeks per year, permanent contract. Closing date: 5th January 2025. Provisional interview date 9th January 2025. This exciting role will include: • helping us to provide individualised support services at our Lewes campus • providing 1:1 support, assistance and encouragement from hand over in the morning and during lessons and breaktimes • you will facilitate and assist the student in the classroom and other learning environments and in safely navigating around the college environment through close support and supervision, including physical assistance and or personal care as and when necessary • you will help to facilitate the development and/or use of receptive and expressive communication skills by the student and be a key link between the class tutor and the learner and parents/ carers in order to encourage independence and confidence to participate in all elements of their study programme.
