Our Client, an SME business in the construction sector in Leicester, is seeking to recruit an experienced Accountant on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Maintaining fixed-asset register including additions & disposals, preparation & posting of monthly depreciation & agreeing to P&L / balance sheet.
* Agree monthly payroll nominal report & post journal.
* Month-end reporting, assisting the Management team in preparation of statutory accounts & audit packs for a range of businesses.
* Assisting with monthly P&L reviews, budgets & forecasts.
* Assisting with preparing detailed monthly P&L & balance sheet reports.
* Preparation of cashflow statements & controlling expenditure / cash flow for various companies.
* Management of credit limits.
The Right Person
* Qualified or Part-Qualified ACCA, CIMA, AAT or Qualified By Experience.
* Possess demonstrable experience in accounts preparation together with knowledge of VAT rules.
* Advanced knowledge of Sage 50 would be an advantage.
* Knowledge of Payroll & CIS would be advantageous.
* Effective communication skills, confident in presenting financial information to senior management.
* Numerate, analytical with attention to detail.
* Excellent planning, organisation and the ability to achieve deadlines.
