Business Development Executive - Electronics & Embedded Systems

Key Responsibilities:
1. Identify New Opportunities: Research, identify and pursue potential new customers and new business opportunities.
2. Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain a healthy pipeline of new prospects and ensure consistent follow up and engagement with potential customers.
3. Solutions Analysis: Understand the specific needs of each customer, offering advice on system design integration and overall project feasibility.
4. Conduct site visits and assessments to accurately capture client requirements and project scope.
5. Lead negotiations with clients and stakeholders to secure profitable contracts.
6. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Engineering, and Product Teams to refine strategies.
7. Achieve Sales Targets: Track, report and optimise performance against targets and overall sales goals.
8. Market Intelligence: Monitor closely market trends, competitors, and industry developments.
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Proven experience in B2B business development, technical sales or application engineering within the embedded systems, electronics or technology sector.
2. Strong understanding of embedded systems, including hardware, software and related technologies.
3. Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills.
4. Strong technical acumen, with the ability to understand complex systems and convey this knowledge to clients.
5. Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Results-driven mindset with focus on identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities.
7. Comfortable in using various digital tools to manage leads and track progress.
8. A passion for understanding customer needs and delivering exceptional service.
9. Thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and be open to feedback and continuous improvement.
10. Willingness to travel for client meetings, presentations and industry events as required.
Package:
1. Base salary circa £45k plus commission and car allowance.
