We are seeking an experienced and dedicated AMHP (Approved Mental Health Professional) for our Adult Social Services and Housing team at Grade 8. This pivotal role involves working with individuals experiencing mental health issues and complex living situations to promote their well-being and independence. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and managing risks and needs, coordinating care plans, and collaborating with various agencies to ensure that clients receive comprehensive support. The role necessitates a professional who can handle challenging situations with empathy and is skilled in engaging with vulnerable adults. You will also be responsible for providing consultation and guidance to colleagues, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment. Responsibilities
Conduct mental health assessments and manage risk assessments for individuals in different housing situations.
Develop, implement, and review support plans tailored to the unique needs of each client.
Collaborate with external agencies, healthcare providers, and social services to facilitate comprehensive support for clients.
Provide guidance and training to junior staff and stakeholders related to mental health best practices.
Liaise with families and caregivers to ensure a holistic approach to care and support for individuals.
Advocate for clients' rights and needs within the community and relevant legal frameworks.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjust support plans as necessary.
Requirements
Must be a qualified AMHP with current registration and relevant qualifications such as a Social Work degree or equivalent.
Extensive knowledge of mental health legislation and safeguarding policies in adult social services.
Proven experience in working within mental health, community care, or social services settings.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
Commitment to maintaining professional development and following national best practice guidelines.

Pay Per Annum: £28.61
