Community Volunteers Enabling You (COVEY) has been a lifeline for children, young people, and families across Lanarkshire since 1992. We provide 1-1 and group-based befriending, mentoring, and family support services tailored to those who need it most. As the Head of Services, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of COVEY’s services. You will lead and inspire a dynamic team to deliver high-quality, integrated, and impactful services that respond to the needs of children, young people, and families. Your leadership will ensure that COVEY continues to meet its mission and strategic objectives while fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, you will oversee the development of participant support models, cultivate strategic partnerships with statutory and third-sector organisations, and ensure services meet the objectives outlined in grant or tender agreements.

We are recruiting for a Programme Health and Safety Lead to join us on a part-time basis. The post holder will provide strategic and hands-on health and safety assistance to our programmes and support services, ensuring all functions of the organisation comply with current health and safety legislation, acts, regulations, official guidance, and standards.
The role is working 17.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hours of work can be split flexibly throughout the week in agreement with the line manager. The role will be office-based for the first 2-3 months, home working will then be in agreement with the line manager, based on the needs of the service.
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
Compliance and Information Management
* Develop, implement, monitor, and maintain H&S procedures and registers
* Provide training and support to managers on the completion of risk assessments
* Maintain a centralised COSHH risk assessment process
* Maintain the organisation’s incident management reporting system
* Deliver H&S training to staff as and when required
* Continually assess the status of H&S within the organisation and identify improvement opportunities
* Assist Risk and QA Lead in auditing compliance with H&S procedures
* Lead the development and delivery of in-house H&S training courses
Communication and Engagement
* Coach managers on fulfilling their H&S responsibilities
* Coordinate with Property H&S Manager
* Develop partnerships with relevant H&S agencies
What we expect from you:
We’re looking for someone that has gained experience in a similar role with IOSH registration and NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. You will have excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and risk management practices, coupled with experience of investigating, reporting and analysing risk, accidents, incidents, and dangerous occurrences.
A First Aid trainer qualification and certification is desirable as is ISO 45001 H&S Auditor certification.

We are recruiting for a Housing Team Leader to join our Short Term Housing programme. Our Short Term Housing programme provides a link between private property owners and tenants. Our goal is to end homelessness by providing access to privately rented properties, as we believe that this is an effective and long-term solution.
The Housing Team Lead will manage a programme of best practice and lead a team to achieve expected standards and quality outcomes by implementing operational controls.
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
* Lead a team of Tenant Liaison Workers to deliver a quality programme focused on the agreed service levels and outcomes for the people we support.
* As a member of the Housing and Communities Management team prepare for and support the implementation of programme growth.
* Lead your direct line reports to implement the annual business plan for the programme
* Ensure all referrals to the service are assessed and progressed in line with service specification.
* Ensure occupancy levels are maintained through efficient allocation and void management of properties.
* Liaison with external agencies such as Community Homeless teams, Housing Benefit and Council Tax teams, landlords, support providers, health services, local authority and other agencies as required.
* Work closely with Right There Property Team to assist in maintaining strong working relationships with Landlords and Agents.
* Assist Right There Property Team with property access request arrangements with Landlords, agents, and contractors for compliance, repairs, and property inspections.
* Ensuring that contractual obligations and the individual needs of those who we support are met by maintaining a system of regular tenancy sustainment support.
* Ensuring risk assessments are completed and updated.
* Model to your team and maintain trusting, trauma-informed relationships with people we support within established clear professional boundaries.
* Ensure case files are maintained and all relevant documentation is completed to the highest standards and within agreed timescale and regularly audit the files.
* Work closely with our Finance Team to manage and prevent Housing Benefit Debt and tenant rent arrears.
* Have an understanding of the Welfare benefit system and be willing to undertake any additional training required.
* On call responsibility, to be on an on-call rota.
* Recruit, induct, onboard your team as required and manage your people resources safely.
* Develop a high performing team with focus on positive trusting and supportive relationships with your staff and peers.
* Arrange and facilitate regular team meetings and support and supervision sessions with your team, utilising best practice in performance management to ensure staff are supported to undertake their roles.
* Complete yearly appraisals and personal development plans with your staff team.
* Manage staff sickness and absence issues in conjunction with People Department.
* Investigate any issues of misconduct within the organisation.
* Ensure a safe system of work is in place for staff who are working outside office hours and in lone working situations.
