Royal Voluntary Service has an opportunity available for a SERVICE COORDINATOR to join our team. You will join us on a part-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £13,623.60 per annum (£22,706 FTE). About the SERVICE COORDINATOR role: The role has responsibility for co-ordinating the smooth and effective running of Kirklees Home Library service. This includes selected reading materials for people that for whatever reason, cannot get to their local library. Home Library Service volunteers deliver so much more than books - they are a friendly, familiar face making a regular home visit to people whose mobility and social interaction are limited. They also provide a useful check on the safety and wellbeing of the reader. Hours: 21 (Flexible but must be able to work 6 hours on a Wednesday). Relevant experience of working with volunteers and supporting and motivating them daily. Relevant experience of handling personal information and the legal requirements of this. Ability to build positive and effective relationships and partnerships with both internal & external stakeholders to the furtherance of RVS strategic objectives. Excellent communications ability at all levels. Ability to act on own initiative within agreed parameters. Knowledge and experience of general administrative processes and duties and maintaining databases. GCSE Maths and English grade A-C. A valid driving license and access to a vehicle or other suitable transport. Ability to proficiently use standard IT systems.
