Term Time Teachers have teamed up with a SEMH school in Sevenoaks to recruit an experienced and passionate Special Needs Teacher. This is a full-time permanent role beginning January 2025.
As a Special Needs Teacher, you will create tailored lessons for students with a range of special educational needs. You'll work closely with colleagues to build an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
Key responsibilities as a Special Needs Teacher:
* Creating and delivering lessons tailored to the unique needs of students with special educational needs.
* Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and structured classroom environment, particularly for students with challenging behaviour.
* Offering one-on-one or group support for students who require additional assistance, helping them develop academic, social, and emotional skills.
* Regularly communicating with parents, guardians, and other professionals (e.g., therapists) to discuss students' progression, challenges, and strategies for improvement.
* Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
Requirements:
* Hold QTS.
* Knowledge and understanding of a range of special educational needs.
* Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
* Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be happy to apply.
* Be able to provide two references within the last 2 years.
