Description Wood Process & Energy is recruiting for a Senior Project Engineer to support the delivery of engineering capital projects based at our client site in Ware, England This is a site-based, permanent staff position working at the clients' operating facility. The Ware Global Supply Chain site manufactures and supplies oral solid dose tablets (for HIV and oncology) and respiratory devices (for asthma and COPD) to over 140 countries, as well as to patients participating in clinical trials, playing a key role in new product introduction. The Ware site is located less than a mile from the station, with regular rail links through to London Liverpool Street, taking around 45 minutes. Responsibilities The Role Our Senior Project Engineers work closely with the client to deliver capital projects from concept to completion. This role works closely with a multi-disciplined engineering team consisting of both Wood and client engineers alongside external designers, equipment vendors, and skilled contractors. The role will require you to be flexible in your day-to-day activities. The portfolio of projects encompasses infrastructure enhancements and replacements, building upgrades and new production lines. Job Duties/Responsibilities: The responsibilities for this role can vary considerably depending on the scope and size of the project. Application of Wood and client health and safety standards within the working environment and design process Ability to maintain safe working practices through all stages of a project with a focus on the assessment and mitigation of safety issues through design Working in/leading multi-discipline teams delivering work packages in accordance with the requirements of quality and environmental management systems qualified to ISO standards Application of pressure systems and ability to assist client when required Be able to manage work scope and interfaces between all engineering disciplines to ensure the successful delivery of assigned work packages Ability to review vendor documents and identify any problem areas Evidence of experience of management of change Active management of plant changes in a controlled and safe way Understanding of what GMP, GDP and ALCOA are Monitoring and reviewing engineering progress with Project Services and Engineering disciplines Ability to be a focal point for assigned projects, managing issues that require expediting or resolution Experience organising, attending, and preparing reports Join a culture of innovation, pushing the boundaries of what is possible to seek the best solutions for our clients. Who we are looking for: Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline Experience in engineering delivery design/operation of black utility systems e.g. plant steam, effluent drainage etc. Integration of design schedule to procurement and/or fabrication schedules Preparing and checking scope of work specifications, project procedures and project reports Ability to take on tasks delegated by Project Manager or Engineering Manager Ability to produce detailed execution plans Preparing projects budgets, controlling costs during delivery and providing detail forecasts for presentation to internal and external stakeholders Forecast manning level to support the contract portfolio Prepare procurement strategies and continual engagement with suppliers and sub-contractors Assisting with responses to site queries from the ‘business as usual’ team Able to engage with multiple engineering disciplines Demonstrable experience of delivery through full project and validation life cycle; URS, DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ and handover to production Leading multi-discipline teams If you meet some but not all the criteria listed, please apply as training can be provided to support you in the role.
