Future Teachers Programme – Graduate Internship (Maths Teacher)
Are you a Maths graduate looking to start a rewarding career in secondary education? Teaching Personnel’s Future Teachers Graduate Scheme offers a paid, structured pathway into teaching, providing invaluable school-based experience before progressing to a PGCE or Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme.
This 12-month internship is designed for graduates passionate about teaching who want to gain first-hand classroom experience before starting formal teacher training. You’ll work full-time as a Cover Supervisor, supporting students and teachers while developing the key skills needed to become a successful Maths teacher.
* Start Date: September 2025 (immediate starts also available)
* Location: Secondary schools across Greater Manchester (Manchester, Stockport, Salford, Trafford, Bury, Bolton, Rochdale, and Oldham)
* Eligibility: Open to graduates with a degree in Mathematics or a related subject who are considering a career in teaching.
As part of the Future Teachers Programme, you’ll gain hands-on classroom experience in a Maths department, taking on key responsibilities such as:
* Supporting students to improve their understanding and achievement in Maths.
* Delivering small group tuition and one-on-one support.
* Assisting with lesson planning, preparation, and classroom management.
* Covering classes and helping to maintain a positive learning environment.
This experience will give you invaluable insight into the teaching profession while strengthening your subject knowledge and confidence in the classroom.
* Paid Internship: Earn £1500–£1700 per month in your first year, with a £25,000 salary in your second training year.
* Professional Development: Gain practical teaching experience and essential classroom management skills.
* Pathway to Teacher Training: A structured route into a PGCE or ITT course.
We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic graduates who:
* Have completed their degree by August 2025.
* Are passionate about education and aspire to become secondary school Maths teachers.
* Can commit to a full-time internship (Monday – Friday, 8:15am – 3:00pm) from September 2025 to July 2026.
