As a member of the Technical Operations team, the Senior Infrastructure Engineer will provide management and proactive maintenance of the hardware and virtual estates managed by the team. Working both independently and closely with the service desk and NOC teams, they will carry out provisioning of new customer services, updating of hardware and ensuring the estate is suitably resourced. Responsibilities: Manage and maintain existing virtual estates and associated hardware. Hardware management, including upgrades, patching and asset management. Proactive monitoring of hardware, working with service desk teams to identify issues and respond accordingly. Maintain monitoring platforms to ensure devices are securely reporting correctly. End-to-end project delivery, providing solution implementation with pre- and post-project support. Carrying out regular datacentre visits for implementations and audits. Maintain documentation for changes and creating new documentation in line with new deployments. Pre-sales support for the sales and account management teams, communicating with new & existing customers. Produce weekly and monthly reports on hardware status, licensing and capacity. Where required, take the lead with various ongoing internal project-related work. Requirements Essential Strong technical experience with the Broadcom VMWare product suite and KVM environments. Configuration experience of SAN technologies including VSAN, Ceph and iSCSI deployments. Working knowledge of Dell hardware (Servers and SANs) Ability to build supplier relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Working knowledge of DR and Backup solutions. Desirable Production experience of RHEL/CentOS Exposure to Onmissa EUC and Remote Desktop Services. Understanding of WAN, LAN and VPN technologies. Windows Active Directory Domain Services, Active Directory Federation Services, DNS and DHCP.
