Sales & Customer Service Administrator

Hours: Full-time Monday-Friday
Salary: Up to £26,000

The role
You will be responsible for providing a robust administration support function and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key duties
1. Daily input of sales orders and delivery notes on the in-house system.
2. Preparing orders and delivery dockets for the warehouse.
3. Confidently answering the telephone and managing enquiries to develop relationships and maximise sales opportunities.
4. Monitoring emails and ensuring enquiries are responded to in a timely manner to maximise business opportunities.
5. Booking parcels and pallets onto the transporters logistic system.
6. Acknowledging customer orders, confirming their despatch and monitoring delivery.
7. Keeping customers updated on stock availability and maintaining system for back orders.
8. Liaising with pallet and parcel companies about delivery queries/problems.
9. Sending Proof of Delivery (PODs) when asked by customer.
10. Invoicing customers and checking paperwork.
Preferred Skills & Experience
1. Excellent administration and customer service skills.
2. Strong communication skills and confidence in talking over the phone.
3. The ability to use initiative and work effectively to deadlines.
4. Attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
5. Knowledge of construction and building products (desirable).
