They are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to lead and implement their safety strategy, ensuring all projects adhere to the highest health and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain the companys health and safety policies, procedures, and systems in compliance with industry regulations and legal requirements. Conduct regular site inspections to identify risks, hazards, and unsafe conditions, ensuring corrective actions are taken promptly. Perform comprehensive risk assessments for specialised flooring installations and associated construction activities. Ensure compliance with local, national, and industry-specific health and safety regulations (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001). Develop and deliver health and safety training programs for employees, subcontractors, and site personnel. Promote a safety-first culture across the organisation, ensuring awareness and adherence to safe working practices. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and implement preventive measures. Prepare detailed reports on safety performance and present findings to senior management. Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and clients to ensure safety is prioritised at all stages of a project. Act as the primary point of contact for all health and safety matters, liaising with external auditors, inspectors, and regulatory bodies as needed. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, audits, incident reports, and training activities. Prepare regular safety performance reports, highlighting trends, key issues, and improvement opportunities. Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager or Senior HSEQ Officer with the ability to take next step up. Construction experience essential Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety legislation, including CDM Regulations and COSHH. NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and/or membership of a recognised safety organisation (e.g., IOSH). Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills. Ability to identify potential risks and proactively implement effective mitigation strategies. Proficient in report writing and using safety management software/systems.
