This exciting company has been established for years! They are based in a lovely part of the UK, which you can visit once a week; however, this role is remote with significant travel, including hosting on-site, trade shows, and team outings, with occasional overnight stays.
What will you be doing?
As the Commercial Sales Director, you will supervise two Senior Managers:
1. One Manager will oversee the Vertical Facilities Management division.
2. The other will manage the Distribution Division, which consists of 8 salespeople on the road.
The Vertical Facilities Management division will have 7 BDMs, Telesales/SDRs, and other head office staff, totaling around 20 team members under your oversight.
Experience: IMPORTANT
We are looking for someone with experience dealing with Facilities Management Clients, preferably from the Commercial Cleaning sector. We are also open to a Commercial Sales Director with innovative ideas from a similar industry who understands the Supply Chain of the Commercial Cleaning industry and has successfully grown End User Accounts through Leadership.
Industry experience is not the only criterion; we value the right attitude, excitement, and ideas!
Location: South West England - Work from home but required to travel 1 day a week to the office, as well as for events, tradeshows, and team outings.
You will report to the Head of UK Commercial Sales.
Your objectives:
1. Manage and grow the Sales Functions.
2. Grow New Business with the team.
3. Develop and execute a commercial sales strategy.
4. Identify and pursue new business opportunities while strengthening existing client relationships.
5. Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decision-making.
Team Leadership and Talent Development:
1. Build, inspire, and lead a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
2. Identify skill gaps and provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
3. Set clear performance objectives and metrics, regularly monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback.
Client Relationship Management:
1. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with large FM clients, end-users, and distribution partners, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and business goals.
2. Serve as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, delivering tailored solutions that drive mutual value.
3. Proactively address client concerns and ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
Sales Development and Performance Management:
1. Oversee sales development, including pipeline management, forecasting, and performance analysis.
2. Implement best practices and tools to optimize sales efficiency and effectiveness.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, sales operations, and customer support, to align efforts and achieve business objectives.
