A new opportunity has arisen in our Product Team, and we are looking for a Catering Product Development Chef to join us on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Catering Product Development Manager and working with the Catering Product Development Technologist you will create and develop new and existing products, generate innovative ideas, develop recipes, support training and continuously improve our Catering offer. You will support the team in making Bettys the ultimate destination for mouthwatering, magical experiences that delight the whole family, fostering customer loyalty and building customer advocacy. Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will generate new and exciting Catering concepts based on a variety of new product development briefs. Following a gate process, you will develop products from initial ideas right through to being ready for implementation, testing recipes, capturing accurate data, and ensuring products are commercially viable, efficient, and effective to deliver. You will pay close attention to the unique nature of our brand, customers, and product success criteria. Collaborating with Bettys Branch teams, you will consider the feasibility of new concepts, ensuring methods and recipes are operationally viable, and recommend any new small and large equipment required to deliver success. You will actively support existing product development, continuously improving the consistency of product delivery, product quality, and commercial viability across our Catering offers. You will also work collaboratively with Procurement, the Branch Product Development Technologist, and our suppliers to source and agree new raw materials for development work. Part of this role will include supporting the delivery of all menu training sessions, ensuring Bettys Branch teams are equipped to deliver success at the point of menu launch. About you: We are looking for candidates with the follwoing: A highly organised, independent, motivated and resilient individual with excellent attention to detail. Breadth of experience in hospitality and catering, excellent, in-depth knowledge of ingredients, cooking techniques, preparing and presenting food. Previous product development experience and ownership of menu delivery commercials. Food Safety Level 3 qualification. Experience using product development systems (desirable). HACCP qualification (desirable). Experience at the highest levels of hospitality and catering (desirable).
