This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a nurturing school environment, supporting pupils across the school, providing short-term teacher cover, and making a real difference in children’s lives. The role is particularly well-suited for someone looking to gain valuable experience before pursuing a career in teaching; many of our former Teaching Assistants have gone on to become qualified teachers.
Applicants should have a confident outlook, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work flexibly, both independently and as part of a team.
If you are looking to join a friendly and motivated team, and enjoy working with delightful, enthusiastic children, we would be delighted to receive your application.
You will:

2. Be qualified to NNEB/BTEC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
3. Be reflective, caring and emotionally resilient
4. Be confident to cover whole classes when required
5. Have the ability to motivate children through good practice
6. Have effective, clear communication and interpersonal skills
7. Have at least a grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths
8. Have a good record of punctuality and attendance
Skills required:
1. Responsible and trustworthy
2. Caring and good at relating to children
3. Calm and efficient in emergencies
4. Self-motivated and creative
5. Patient
6. Good at juggling competing demands for attention
7. Open-minded about different ways of educating children
8. Good communication skills
We can offer:
1. A supportive, hardworking and friendly staff team
2. Mentorship
3. A commitment to your professional development
4. An inclusive environment where all pupils are valued and are well supported
5. A successful, happy and forward thinking whole school community
