To provide efficient and effective business management support to the Director of Pathology & Clinical Genomics (DPCG) and the Pathology Operations Manager (POM). This includes all business functions that ensure t the operational delivery of the Trust’s Pathology services.
The post holder will collate data and perform analysis to identify issues in service delivery across Pathology They will present the interpreted data to senior management to inform business decision making, forging the gap between financial and business management. The post holder will provide an increased focus on the delivery of streamlined, efficient services which are managed and benchmarked nationally and internationally. This will include ensuring effective reporting of key performance target compliance and monitoring adherence with service level agreements, with responsibility for highlighting risks and issues and monitoring the effectiveness of mitigation. The role will be responsible for implementing and monitoring cost reduction programmes and associated organisational change, through direct communication and liaison with laboratory managers and providing regular updates to Pathology senior management

• Responsible for communicating service related information to senior managers, laboratory managers and external agencies.
• Present information on service specifications and pricing strategies to customers. Negotiating revenue generating contracts that align with Pathology strategic objectives
• Oversee billing processes and ensure accurate invoicing for pathology services.
• Identify opportunities for increasing revenue, such as expanding service offerings or attracting new clients.
• Act as point of contact for new commercial opportunities. Analyse delivery feasibility and provide revenue modelling. Liaise with the POM and laboratory managers to assess capacity and resource needs relating to such opportunities.
