We are looking for a full-time Business Development Manager to join our Product & Distribution Team.
This is a newly created position within our Product & Distribution team which will be invaluable in helping ExperienceFirst meet its ambitious commercial goals for the upcoming years. Your role will be to promote, engage and grow ExperienceFirst’s business using your existing network, people skills and relationship capabilities to grow B2B distribution partnerships. You will work with a range of businesses including DMCs, Tour Operators, OTAs and directly with senior business leaders to arrange group tour business, and promote our public tour offering.
You're an entrepreneurial character who pushes boundaries and thinks outside the box to drive business, constantly sourcing and positioning new ideas to grow and position our brand.
While doing so, you will be reporting directly to our Head of Commercial, while collaborating closely with our Tour Development Managers, our Product & Distribution Executive, and our highly dedicated Marketing and Operations teams. A true dream-team (if we say so ourselves!)
This is a fully remote role and we are open to candidates based in any country in Europe, provided you are well positioned to collaborate and communicate with our teams across multiple time-zones, including the US.
What this role involves…
* Working with the company's current distribution partners to source opportunities for growth, actively analysing and growing our third-party sales.
* Pitch for new business and be comfortable working with a range of partners including (but not limited to) Tourism boards, DMCs, Tour Operators and OTAs.
* Work with the Head of Commercial and wider marketing team to plan the company's annual trade and sales marketing plan.
* Negotiate effective commercial deals with distribution partners ensuring a strong partnership that yields significant commercial results.
* Work with the Head of Commercial to develop and manage a suitable marketing budget to drive sales activity producing an effective ROI.
* Generate new distribution leads, pitch and close optimal deals with new sales channels such as Tourism boards, DMCs, Tour Operators and OTAs.
* Lead the onboarding process for new partners.
* Prioritise and execute existing opportunities in the group sales area, tailoring products to suit corporate and leisure groups.
* Attend relevant global trade shows and events, including but not limited to: sales missions, exhibitions, partner events, and conferences.
What we need from you…
* A passion for delivering high-quality experiences, a creative mind, and a willingness to push boundaries and think outside of the box.
* Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role with extensive contacts in the travel industry to support growing our distribution network.
* Understanding of OTAs, how they operate, and how we utilise their business to grow revenue.
* Extensive experience sourcing and pitching new business, comfortable implementing processes internally where required to support this.
* Experience working with internal and external stakeholders to tailor make packages for corporate clients, managing the sales process and relationship to ensure quality.
* Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders at all levels.
* Ability to remain hands-on and work in a fast-paced scale-up environment.

2. Practical Task: (1 hour) If both you and our Head of Commercial feel there is a strong alignment between what you’re looking for in your next role, and what we need in our team, you will be invited to complete a practical task which you will then present in your second meeting. You will be presenting your task to our Head of Commercial and one other team member.
3. Team Interview: (30 minutes) Once you have demonstrated your skills and experience, you will have the opportunity to meet additional team members you will work closely with in this role. This is also a great chance to learn more about our culture, and what working at ExperienceFirst really feels like.
4. CEO Interview: (45 mins) Last but certainly not least, you will have a chance to meet our CEO and Founder. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the company’s history and long-term ambitions.
