Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and maintain the company's ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS).
* Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, health and safety regulations, and industry standards.
* Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and internal audits to identify hazards and improve workplace safety.
* Develop and deliver health and safety training programs for employees.
* Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
* Work closely with department heads to integrate health and safety policies into business operations.
* Coordinate and support external audits and certification processes.
* Maintain accurate health and safety documentation, including reports and risk assessments.
* Provide expert advice on safe work practices, emergency response plans, and compliance matters.
* Promote a positive safety culture across all levels of the organization.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* Recognized health and safety certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor).
* Minimum 3-10 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in an SME environment.
* In-depth knowledge of ISO 45001 standards, risk management, and compliance.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and training abilities.
* Ability to conduct audits, write reports, and manage documentation effectively.
* Experience working with regulatory bodies and external auditors is a plus.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and health & safety software tools.
