Due to an expansion within our service, the Combined Triage Assessment Unit (CTAU) is looking for compassionate, forward-thinking, dynamic and visible leaders to join the team as Charge Nurse/Sisters. We are looking for individuals enthusiastic to drive change and improvement in an acute setting, leading the way with advances in oncology care.
You will be expected to ensure that professionalism and high standards of care are upheld at all times.
CTAU is an acute assessment unit caring for Oncology and Haematology patients with complications arising from their treatment or diagnosis.
Applicants must hold a current NMC registration and must be able to evidence demonstrable post-registration experience. Leadership experience is preferable; however, this will be an ongoing developmental area of the role. Current knowledge and experience in an acute setting is required, preferably with knowledge of Oncology and Haematology.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a compassionate individual that can demonstrate excellent communication skills and is committed to driving change forward.
Applicants will need to be a visible, reliable, and flexible leader ensuring high standards of care are given at all times.
The successful candidate will be able to deputise for the Senior Sister in their absence, supporting the overall running of the unit including completing audits, improvement works, staff support and rostering.
This role will involve working both days and nights.
