The Opportunity
You will be responsible for food production for the Women’s 1st team and affiliated staff, working intimately with the performance science, performance nutrition team and Levy restaurants in delivering a world class food provision at the training ground and on Away travel. As part of the performance support team, reporting to the Head of Performance Support you will play your part in driving the highest possible standards of performance catering, ensuring that Chelsea FC is fuelled for success on and off the field and has a provision desired by others in the performance sport world.
Key Responsibilities
1. Working collaboratively with the performance nutrition team, develop elite performance menus that elevate health and performance while inspiring and engaging players in their food choices.
2. Create the link between players and coaches to the food provision, encouraging involvement in a professional approach and seeking feedback from all parties.
3. With the performance nutritionists, source external food trucks and chefs to create diversity, energy and a ‘buzz’ around the performance food provision for players, inspiring players to eat at the Chelsea restaurant.
4. Plan and organise hotel menus and coach food provision, creating nutritionally balanced dishes that can be cooked on the coach.
5. Create SOPs and specifications so any chef could fill in for each other.
6. Arrange hotel calls around the world (UK/European competitions/pre-season tour) and communicate in the right manner Chelsea’s expectations.
7. Willing to travel around the world and deliver 1st class food and service working alongside the hotel team.
8. Provide inspirational leadership and management of all Women’s kitchen staff.
9. Create a team environment between back and front of house staff.
10. Organise and oversee regular (daily & weekly) meetings between the kitchen and performance nutrition team to enhance clarity of nutrition service delivery.
11. Complete regular staff de-briefs and meetings within the kitchen team.

* Previous experience collaborating with performance nutritionists and creating elite performance menus.
* Previous experience managing and leading kitchen staff.
