The role of a Live-in Carer is similar to other care roles with one notable exception, you are not a visitor, but a key part of the household. Female Live-in Carers also provide respite for customers who have been in hospital or deteriorated slightly and feel they need Live-In support for a short period until they recover. The tasks a Live-in Carer will undertake: Assisting customer with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, bathing and toileting. Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming and changing bed linen. Assist in the safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of customers. Accompany customers to medical appointments, shopping trips etc. Observe, monitor and record customer's physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to the office. Encourage customers to be independent. Support with medication. Assisting customers with meal preparation/fluids. Support customers with social activities, also companionship. We also do require that applicants have good experience in running and managing a household and/or previous care experience (professional or personal) to be considered for this role.
