As Management Accountant at Boortmalt, you will be responsible for the UK accounting processes, month-end and reporting activities. You will ensure timely, accurate and complete recording of financial data to generate correct financial management information.
Your main responsibilities:
1. Responsible for maintaining financial accountability, overseeing, and reviewing transactions; hands-on intervention when necessary.
2. Month-end accruals, prepayments, P&L reporting and cash flow forecasting.
3. Intercompany reconciliations.
4. Managing the HSBC invoice discounting facility, ensuring funding is always maximised.
5. Margin analysis.
6. Holding company accounting and submission to group each month.
7. Investigating financial discrepancies and reporting to management.
8. Ensuring timely monthly accounts closing and reporting to group deadlines.
9. Proactively managing the reporting of financial performance.
10. Month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
11. VAT calculations and returns.
12. Maintenance of the fixed asset register.
13. Ad hoc financial analyses; including stock and work order issues.
14. Contributing to the Group’s financial process improvement and maintaining controls integrity.
15. Maintaining clean financial statements and audits.
16. Deputising for the UK Finance Manager as appropriate.
Master we are looking for?
3-5 years experience working as a Management Accountant, Financial Accountant, Finance Business Partner, looking to make your first move from practice to industry or similar type of role.
Fully qualified: ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
Background or genuine interest to work in manufacturing.
Experience of an ERP system; JD Edwards and Cognos experience would be an advantage.
Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills.
Fluency in English.
Positive, can-do attitude.
