Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturer. They are looking for an experienced Engineering Team Leader / Maintenance Team Leader (with an Electrical bias) to be a hands-on member of the engineering maintenance team, providing leadership and motivation. You will be responsible for identifying and prioritising pro-active and reactive maintenance tasks on a daily basis. This would suit someone with previous experience in a similar role where Mechanical & Electrical Engineers are managed (e.g. Engineering Supervisor / Maintenance Team Leader / Maintenance Manager / Maintenance Engineer Leader / Engineering Manager / Engineering Shift Manager etc.). Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off, days and nights on rotation, 12 hour shifts (6am - 6pm / 6pm - 6am) Salary: £47,000 including shift allowance Main responsibilities: • Leadership of multi-skilled Engineering team, including delegation of work, monitoring individuals, team performance, coaching and mentoring Engineers and Apprentices • Drive daily performance and objectives • Maintaining PPM adherence • Maintaining monitoring systems • Leading shift and departmental projects • Completing personal objectives in line with business requirements • Liaise with Engineering Manager regarding Continuous Improvement and long-term projects • Provide hands on support for shift teams Requirements: • Qualified in Engineering (NVQ Level 3 HNC / HND / similar), or Apprentice trained, with an Electrical bias. • Time served multi-skilled engineer with a strong technical knowledge • Flexible and motivational • Previous experience of leading a multi-disciplined engineering team
