The post holder will take a lead on and have strategic oversight of the Physical Health Strategy for the Trust. They will liaise with members of the MDT and other lead roles to provide assurance and confidence in Physical Health and Infection Prevention and Control. This is an exciting opportunity to build, develop and lead on improving physical health outcomes for patients within mental health and learning disability services, as well as children and young people across Coventry and Warwickshire. Working with all directorates within Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust, the post holder will lead on improving patient outcomes, improving process in relation to infection prevention and control, support the flu vaccination program and support learning across the Trust.
Main duties of the job
To be a proactive member of the Chief Nursing Officer Management & Leadership Team ensuring the effective delivery of all projects and areas of responsibility across the Trust. Provide strong visible clinical leadership across the Trust particularly in relation to the areas of Physical Health, Infection Prevention and Control, Public Health and Resuscitation. As one of the most senior clinicians in the Trust, the post holder carries a responsibility to provide a strong role model for all nursing and allied health professional colleagues by demonstrating credibility and visibility, strong commitment to identifying development opportunities, celebrating success and encouraging creativity, innovation and excellence in practice.

* Effective nursing or allied health professional registration
* Masters level qualification or equivalent experience
* Experience and knowledge of public health priorities relating to physical health and SMI, experience and knowledge of IPC
Desirable
* Has sense of humour and understands when to use it to relieve stress and pressure within a team or situations
* Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences, verbally and in written reports
* Proven track record of achieving objectives
* Experience or training in Quality Improvement
* Demonstrates good writing style
* Demonstrates ability to lead projects
