Job Summary
Reporting to the Safety Manager, the main purpose is to assist in all Aviation Safety related tasks, including Safety Management System administration and providing statistical reports. This position is full time office based and travel to NHV bases may be required (including Holland and Denmark). The Safety Co-ordinator / Analyst co-operates closely with all organisational subdivisions of NHV and their main duties and responsibilities are as follows:
Responsibilities & Areas
* Assists on the implementation of group policies and monitors adherence.
* Assists the Safety Manager in developing policies and make suggestions for improvement.
* Administration of the Safety Management System which involves frequent interaction with other departments.
* Providing Safety Occurrence report management to the Safety Manager.
* Assisting the risk management process including hazard identification, risk analysis and risk mitigation.
* Provide periodic reports on Safety performance.
* Reviewing and preparing Safety related topics and statistics on a weekly and monthly basis.
* Compiling and distributing KPI / SPI data.
* Supporting business development in relation to tender preparations and contract reviews regarding Safety requirements.
* Engaging in emergency response activities including training exercises.
* Generating safety information notices, bulletins, and newsletters, and communicating them across all areas of the UK business.
* Conduct safety induction training with new employees.
* Document control - Reviewing and maintaining Safety related documentation.
* Administer safety meetings and produce minutes.
* Assisting in the development of the safety culture in line with the company’s policies, values, and missions.
* Travel to other NHV bases may be required as directed by the Safety Manager.
Experience
* Proven previous Aviation experience in same or similar role an advantage.
* ICT literate (specific aviation software & MS Office).
* Languages: English (professional level).
* Ability to follow company procedures and processes (operational, quality, safety …).
* Proven safety experience and knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS principles and practices).
* Understanding of Aviation Regulations.
* Excellent communication and organization skills.
Skills
Must be able to obtain a basic Disclosure Scotland Certificate.
Must have legal right to work in UK.
