The Role
Optima Partners is a forward-thinking professional services firm on an exciting growth trajectory. As we expand from 50 to 200 employees over the next two years, we are strengthening our team and are now looking for three skilled and experienced Technical Project Delivery Managers to lead and guide multi-disciplinary teams in the data space to help our clients deliver on their chosen business priorities. You will be ultimately responsible for the delivery and smooth running of highly technical projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Interrogation and defining of the client problem statement
* Prioritise and plan multi-stage approaches with a product development mindset
* Organise and lead workstreams that deliver on that approach using the client’s chosen methodology
* Challenge workstream delivery teams to deliver high-quality work, at pace
* Playback progress and manage stakeholder expectations
* Ensure a high level of communication and documentation between delivery teams and client teams
You will work with the delivery team and client engagement managers to set standard ways of working and templated approaches to different types of engagements.
You will be a natural communicator, able to articulate business problems/requirements to data scientists and engineers within delivery teams and data science/engineering solutions and concepts to business stakeholders. You will also have had experience in delivering technical data projects OR have a strong grounding in delivery of large-scale data projects and have performed a translation role between business and technical stakeholders.

Skills and Experience
* Proven communication of complex data concepts to stakeholders of differing technical knowledge
* Experience in delivering complex data solutions with multi-disciplinary teams, within timelines and to budget
* Manage risks and issues and provide escalation pathways
* Advanced knowledge in delivering complex data solutions using different methodologies (Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban etc.)
* Knowledge of Data Engineering space including Cloud platforms, Database technologies, Data management and Governance, ETL and pipeline processes etc.
* Knowledge of Data Science space including uses of Analytical techniques, ML pipelines, Data storytelling, BI etc.
