An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Birmingham Drug Recovery Team (BRT) at HMP Birmingham as a Team Administrator. We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated candidate to join our hardworking, but friendly team.
You will receive an environmental allowance of £1572 per annum for working in a secure environment, access to excellent support and development opportunities, and will be part of a dynamically evolving service.
BRT aims to increase the volume and quality of treatment available to prisoners assessed as requiring treatment for drug misuse with a particular emphasis on early custody and early intervention. This role provides essential support in monitoring and reporting treatment and outcomes as well as supporting the BRT team.
Main duties of the job
Working in the BRT team at HMP Birmingham, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in the delivery of a high-quality service.
The role includes general administration duties, maintaining information systems and spreadsheets, providing administrative support for team meetings, including minute taking, maintaining filing systems, scanning, processing mail, answering the telephone, and processing emails.
You will need to have excellent computer skills, proficient in the use of Excel, Word, and Outlook, and be able to work using your own initiative. You must also have excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle conflicting demands. Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone manner along with the ability to use them effectively to work with staff are essential.
